Things were happy, then turned to rage.
Where stood a friend, now stands an enemy.

Who's half-baked scheme was this? His.
To trade girls for a day. His with me...
And my ex with him, all to get his cheap thrill.

He always flirted with her, touched her all playful.
I very nearly often tripped over his damn tongue.
Disrespecting his girl at nearly every turn in so many ways.
I stuck up for her, but it never cut through his ill constructed haze.

Even so, I should have spoken up more often.
I usaully don't let such things fly, I speak my mind.
Why was I so lenient with him? I should have been strict.
